Palliative Care Victoria (PCV) is proud to announce the launch of it's new brand, marking a significant step forward in uniting palliative care organisations and services across Australia under a shared identity.

Over recent months, PCV has begun using a new logo, featuring a bright orange heart. This orange heart has been incorporated in the logos of all state/territory peak bodies for palliative care, as well as the national body, Palliative Care Australia. This symbol is set to become the national symbol for palliative care across Australia.

PCV's refreshed visual identity features blue, pink and green tones, reflecting warmth, diversity and compassion. Inspired by the Latin origin of the word 'palliative' - palliare (meaning 'to cloak' or 'to cover') - the brand concept draws on the comforting imagery of a quilt.

The heart, quilt and stitching motifs celebrate the many parts of palliative care that come together to support people with life limiting illness and their families.
This week, the brand has been implemented across the PCV website, Newsflash and Volunteering Newsflash, and it will be implemented across all PCV Publications in the coming months.
