We are seeking a passionate and experienced Volunteer Engagement Team Leader to guide our state-wide volunteer program and help us achieve our vision: the best care until the world is free from MND.

About the Role

As the Volunteer Engagement Team Leader, you will:

  • Build the volunteer team, by recruiting new volunteers
  • Ensure volunteers receive the right training, support, and recognition for their contributions.
  • Promote and raise awareness of volunteer work within MND Victoria and the wider community.
  • Drive best practice in volunteer engagement.
  • Develop and deliver new volunteer programs that enhance the services provided by our Support Services Team.

Our volunteer program currently supports a wide range of activities, including:

  • Client support: life stories program, hand and foot massage, social visiting, and bereavement support.
  • Organisational support: merchandise, administration, events, and fundraising.
Selection Criteria

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in volunteer management, health, welfare, or community services (or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years’ experience recruiting, training, coordinating, and supervising volunteers.
  • Strong knowledge of best practice in volunteer engagement.
  • Experience, understanding, or commitment to working with people with acquired and life-limiting disabilities.
  • A flexible, proactive, and client-focused approach.
What we offer
  • Salary: $126,000 – $132,000 plus salary packaging.
  • A full-time, permanent role with hybrid work arrangements.
