Anam Cara Geelong (Anam Cara) is a values-based organisation. We care deeply about our community and our people. We provide compassionate care which includes a 12-bed inpatient palliative care unit, outpatient services and a Living Well Palliative Care Day program.
About the Role
We are seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner (PCNP) to join Anam Cara as a key member of the multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive palliative care services to guests with life-limiting illnesses. This is a great opportunity for a PCNP to utilise advanced end of life and palliative care clinical skills and knowledge to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring the highest quality of life for patients and their families.
Selection Criteria
About You
We’re looking for an experience PCNP who thrives in an evolving and collaborative environment;
- You’ve got a Master’s in Advanced Nursing Care/Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent) and a postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care.
- You bring solid experience in palliative care nursing, this is your passion and expertise.
- You’re registered with AHPRA as an RN with Nurse Practitioner endorsement.
- You have a strong understanding of Nurse Practitioner standards and put them into practice every day.
- You’re confident in assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, and managing complex symptoms.
- You can work independently but love collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
- You are committed to compassionate, patient-focused care that respects dignity and preferences.
- You’re a great communicator who keeps all informed and supported, whether it’s patients, families, or colleagues.
- You focus on high-quality care and always looking for ways to improve care standards.
- You enjoy mentoring, helping others grow in their roles and supporting professional development.
