Peninsula Home Hospice (PHH) is an accredited not-for-profit organisation that provides specialist palliative care to people in the comfort of their home across the Mornington Peninsula, City of Frankston and part of the City of Kingston. Our aim is to optimise the quality of life for those in our care and honour their hope for comfort, choice dignity and peace. 

We are seeking a compassionate Counsellor Caseworker with excellent communication skills and a dedication to making a difference for clients, their family and caregivers' quality of life. The position requires established and reflective work practices, a commitment to palliative care and the ability to work independently, with guidance and support from a dependable team. You will require the ability to work with issues associated with dying, death and bereavement and will provide counselling for clients and their families and caregivers.

Selection Criteria

What you will bring:

  • Compassionate and calm communication skills, including experience working with CALD clients 
  • Tertiary qualifications in either psychology, counselling or social work 
  • Collaborative approach to working within an interdisciplinary team 
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct psychosocial and spiritual assessments 
  • Sound experience in providing comprehensive bereavement support
